Spectrum Vitality™ is one of my favorite vitamin/mineral blends in powder form. I often use it myself and appreciate the fact that it is free from all of the allergens that affect most patients I see at HealthBridge Medical Center . It was originally formulated to serve the needs of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, but I prescribe it for children and adults who do not have these conditions. This comprehensive multiple vitamin/mineral supplement contains 28 highly bioavailable essential nutrients in amounts and ratios designed to address nutritional imbalances commonly observed in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Abnormal gastrointestinal function, including chronic diarrhea and malabsorption, affects a significant percentage of individuals with ASD and contributes to nutritional deficiencies. Food elimination diets and a tendency among patients to be highly selective eaters further narrow dietary sources of essential nutrients. Spectrum Vitality™ addresses these inadequacies by supplying balanced amounts of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements in forms that are typically well tolerated by patients with ASD. Bioactive forms of folate, B12, and B6 are included along with naturally-sourced carotenes, vitamin E, and D for optimal nutrient absorption and utilization. Iron and copper, often contraindicated in ASD, are excluded. Spectrum Vitality™ is free of common allergens, including milk/casein, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat/gluten, yeast, and soybeans. No starch, maltodextrin, stearates, artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, or preservatives are used. This powdered formula complies with Gluten-Free/Casein-Free (GFCF) diets. For maximum tolerance and versatility as a foundational nutritional program, herbal ingredients are avoided. The pleasant, natural berry-pomegranate flavored powder now has an improved, finer texture that dissolves easily in liquids or can be mixed in foods. A convenient measuring scoop is provided for accurate dosing.
Suggested Use: Adults or Children 4 or more years of age: 1 scoop daily with food. Children less than 4 years of age: As directed by health practitioner. Mix powder directly into room temperature or cold foods or beverages just before serving.
